Dear Men

Dear Men,
I have heard this many times- "All men are the same.” But I’ve never quite believed this saying. Just because some of you are monsters who love to prey upon women, it is wrong of us to assume that all of you are of the same category. I know that this society has conditioned you that no matter what, you can't cry. You're often told - 'be a man. Real men don't cry.' It's a load of crap. Wanna hear a secret? We women love men who can express their emotions. Crying doesn't make you weak. It doesn't make you less of a man. Rather, I would say that crying makes you strong. It means that you know how to communicate your pain.
Our society is a very complex place. It assigns colour to genders. Just because some say that pink is a girly colour, it doesn't make you a girl if you like the colour. And even if you're compared with a girl on these things, where's the harm? It's okay to be feminine. Femininity is often taken to be weakness. But i think it's far from that. So the next time, you are called feminine, just own it like a boss!
I know you often feel irritated by feminism. Trust me, it may seem that we women desire supremacy. But we don't want that. We just want the choices, respect and equality you get in the real world. In an ideal world, maybe you and i will be absolute equals. I'll be eagerly waiting for that day.
You are loved. You are respected. You matter a lot to us.
Now please pick up that wet towel from the bed. It's driving me crazy, yaar!
From,
A woman who believes in you
