WORLD PAPER BAG DAY

World Paper Bag Day holds the theme of “eradicate plastic and safeguard earth”. Paper bags presents an alternative for harmful plastic bags. These are the best eco-friendly solution to prevent nature from further destruction. The first paper bag was invented by an American inventor, Francis Well in 1852. In 1833, Charles Stilwell invented a machine which can produce the square bottom paper bags. Followed by this Walter Deubener used a cord to reinforce paper bags in 1912. These biodegradable paper bags can withstand temperature changes and can be reused again and again according to our need. We can also make these paper bags with some of our day-to-day used home equipment like newspapers, scissors, ropes and glue. We can also decorate them by adding, our creative spices to it. Apart from all these pros there are a few cons of it. They have very poor wet strength. It is difficult to carry cold and heavy products in these bags. We must also keep a check on saving our paper bags because, to generate more paper bags we need to risk the life of many trees.

The celebration of World Paper bag Day is yet another mission the aims at the conservation of the environment. Realize that the environment matters!
